Chandler + Henry

Winterthur Engagement

Winterthur, Delaware

07.17.2020

Chandler and Henry decided to have their engagement session in July at Winterthur Museum & Garden. They will also be getting married at Winterthur in 2021. Winterthur is nestled amidst 1000 acres of meadows and woodlands and has a glorious 60 acre garden, we strongly suggest to get to know the property by also doing your engagement photos there. We love Chandler and Henry’s outfits and how stylish they are. It’s going to be fabulous working with them in 2021 for their big celebration!

Monica + Andrew

Winterthur Museum & Garden Wedding

Winterthur, Delaware

06.20.2019

Monica and Andrew just celebrated their first anniversary! YAY!! I’m sharing this wedding again because it is being featured online and in print at The Hunt Magazine: http://digital-editions.todaymediacustom.com/hunt/summer-2020/#p=26 So I’m sending out a big wish of love and happiness to Monica and Andrew!

Monica and Andrew were married on the hottest day of the year in the our favorite garden at Winterthur Museum and Garden. We love the stone wall in this enchanting sunken garden, nestled next to the Reflecting Pool. It makes for the perfect space as a backdrop for a wedding ceremony. Check out how beautiful everyone looked even though it was a pressure cooker day of a day. We love a wedding at Winterthur no matter what kind of weather it is!

Monica and her bridesmaids wore gorgeous Hayley Paige gowns from Jennifer’s Bridal. We love a pale pink gown, always the perfect choice for a summer garden wedding. How beautiful are the floral designs in the soft feminine pale colors by Anne Ottley Floral Design? Our other favorite thing about Monica and Andrew’s day was how much fun the two of them had, they were both had huge smiles and were on the verge of laughing out loud all day long.

Shannon + Pierre

Winterthur Museum & Garden

Winterthur, Delaware

06.13.2020

Shannon and Pierre are newly engaged and chose to do their engagement photos at Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library. Winterthur is a expansive and magical place right here in Delaware. Doing your engagement session on location allows the couple to learn more about their venue before their wedding.

Shannon and Pierre getting married in a small ceremony this fall. Originally they had planned for a big wedding this fall but have changed their plans due to the Pandemic. I love the idea of people still getting married this year in small intimate weddings with just a few of their favorite people present.

Then in 2021 Shannon and Pierre will have their big wedding on the same date, kind of a one year anniversary party. They are having their big 1 year celebration at one of my favorite gardens locations, the Reflecting Pool at Winterthur.

Film Photography

San Diego, California

For the first week of March I was in sunny San Diego enjoying photographing with film. Film photography is something I’ve been wanting to add to my weddings for some time now. I needed a good safe place to test it out with out the pressure that comes along on a typical wedding day. I’ve dabbled with it in the last couple of years but it took a while to find a camera I loved and a film processor who could make those images look magical. The camera has to be simple and fast so as not to interfere with the fast paced flow of the modern wedding and not take away from the digital photography that modern brides expect. I wanted to offer something more, something they didn’t expect and something that I knew they would LOVE!

So my trip to California taught me so many things, but mostly it made me love the look of film. I am so looking forward to wedding season starting again and being able to share my love of film with all my 2020 brides, just to add to give them a little something extra.

Megan + Alex

Hagley Museum Wedding

Wilmington, Delaware

01.11.2020

Megan and Alexandra were married on a perfect spring-like Saturday at the historical Hagley Museum. We love all soft colors and blooms they chose for their winter wedding.

Megan says, “This past Saturday I was fortunate enough to say “I do,” to the one woman who brings out the best in me and who allows me to be my most genuine self. Surrounded by our family and friends as well as our adoration for each other, we became more than two people in love, we became a single entity; one force powered by our independent cares for the other. Over the past years we have built our relationship, we shared many secrets, laughs and tears and now we legally share so much more- even a last name! Here’s to life ahead, wherever our adventures lead us I know you will be by my side.”
