Katie + Mac

Brantwyn Estate Wedding

Wilmington, Delaware

09.01.2019

Katie and Mac were married on the perfect Sunday on Labor Day weekend in the prettiest garden at Brantwyn Estate in Wilmington, Delaware. We love this beautiful estate filled with lush gardens and butterflies. Katie and Mac made full use of all the beautiful spaces in this estate.

This wedding gave us all the feels and brought me to tears several times. The first look alone was epic and tears of joy filled and deserves it’s own blog post! First Katie and Mac read their letters in the charming side garden, Katie in the upstairs balcony of the bridal suite and Mac downstairs sitting on a bench directly under the balcony. They couldn’t see each other but they both cried their eyes out! Then they did the first look in the side garden. If you are getting married and on the fence about whether you should do a first look, check out the images below.

There were so many things we loved about this wedding, the weather was mild and refreshing with a hint of fall. We LOVED the flowers, the colors, the setting and how everything came together in such a perfect way for these two and their families. And come on, aren’t Katie and Mac the CUTEST?

How gorgeous is the flower arbor by Sweet Peas? We were so happy to see this elegant arbor in the sunken garden at Brantwyn where Katie and Mac had their wedding ceremony. I love the flower colors of lavender and deep purples chosen by Katie.

Paige was the wedding coordinator for Brantwyn and she did a fabulous job, holding flowers, busling dresses and generally just being a joyful presence. Katie decided to do introductions and toasts outside on the lawn, this a new idea and it worked so well. Some of these Delaware Estates have pretty small rooms so this allowed people to spread out and enjoy the great weather. We loved it so much that now I’d love to see this done for all our weddings. Check out the images below of the toasts.

We also got to work along side with one of the sweetest DJs, Mike Simmons of Must Be the Music DJs.
